My name is Malori. I'm a young lady with an old soul.
love: food, big words, knitting, cinematic adventures, stand-up comedy, reading good books, rain, Chicago, writing, cooking, exploring, music with soul (and really trashy pop music), independence, nice clothes, pretty shoes, making lists, learning, vanilla lattes, holding hands, talking with a British accent, dressing up, a good beer, road trips, dark chocolate, and tea.
hate hello kitty--it seriously freaks me out

“Love is a temporary disease” (the French opinion on the idea of "love") -The Culture Code
According to the book where I found that quote, studies in french focus groups found that the general opinion is that "love is a temporary disease". They believe that getting married and making permanent decisions based solely off the feeling of love is silly and irresponsible. I found that insight to be absolutely fascinating because it's so different from the American view of love.
2 notes:
Commitment then is the permanent disease (?)
